The Tempest
Limited to 250 fine art limited edition prints + 25 artist proofs, 'The Tempest' is available either block mounted, or block mounted and framed. Please make sure you select the format you require using the drop down list above.
The main edition of 250 prints is printed on 400gsm fine art canvas. This is then bonded to 3.5mm board and varnished to replicate the look and feel of the original painting. This is called block mounting. Each print is individually signed and numbered by Anthony and supplied with a certificate of authenticity.
There are two frames available, both of which compliment the print perfectly. Which to choose depends on the type of look you prefer.
Option 1 - The framed print has a 6.5cm wide moulding with an acid etched distressed silver finish. The frame is also slipped with a painted 1.5cm off-white slip. Supplied strung and ready to hang.
ARTIST'S PROOF
Limited to just 25 prints, the Artist's Proof is a stunning large scale stretched canvas print.
Printed on 450gsm fine art canvas, each print is individually signed 'AP' and numbered by Anthony and supplied with a certificate of authenticity. The print is finished with a dark grey edge, fitted to a 3.4cm deep tulip wood stretcher and strung and ready to hang.
The Artist's Proof is also available in a 9.2cm wide frame with a distressed warm silver finish, which is slipped with a painted off-white moulding. Supplied strung and ready to hang.
WHAT IS AN ARTIST'S PROOF?
Traditionally an artist's proof was a print made by the artist during the print-making process in order to understand the progress of the printing plate the artist was working on. In this respect it was a 'work in progress' print.
With the development of modern printing techniques the term is now used to refer to a number of finished prints that are available in addition to the main limited edition, and are reproduced to the same exact high quality. The number of artist proofs should not exceed 10% of the size of the main limited edition. The edition size of 'The Tempest' is 250 prints so there are just 25 artist proofs available.
